Dr. Kristian Jensen is Head of Collections and Curation at the British Library. He began his library career as an incunabulist at the Bodleian Library where he initiated and led for nine years the project which created the Bodleian Library’s incunable catalogue. Subsequently he became Head of Incunabula at the British Library. He has published extensively on incunabula focusing on issues around the history of reading book ownership and the interrelation between intellectual needs of users and the commercial needs of producers. Most recently he published Revolution and the Antiquarian Book: Reshaping the Past, 1780-1815, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2011.
Kristian Jensen est directeur des collections à la British Library, Londres. Après avoir été spécialiste des incunables à la Bodleian Library (Oxford) où il a mené pendant neuf ans le projet de catalogue des incunables de la bibliothèque, il a été responsable des incunables de la British Library. Il a beaucoup publié sur les incunables, en mettant l’accent sur l’histoire de la lecture et de la possession du livre, et sur les relations entre les besoins intellectuels des utilisateurs et les besoins commerciaux des producteurs.
